People's leisure time is increasingly prioritised, and quality and convenience of leisure offers are critical to both development generally and the success of specific leisure ventures.

Leisure has been a primary sector for Monaghans for 45 years and our experience in this, coupled with other sectors, allows us to shape both stand-alone leisure scheme procurement and delivery, and also the integration of leisure into mixed-use developments and re-purposed retail space.

With our breadth of experience within the leisure sector, Monaghans serve a wide range of clients from accessible and casual brands through to high end bespoke design concepts and exclusive venues.

With projects ranging from small concessions to complete venues and leisure complexes, Monaghans can deliver projects at any scale and we have the expertise to work anywhere from new builds and empty shells, to existing buildings with challenging logistical or operational constraints.

Restaurants and Hospitality

Monaghans have significant restaurant and public house experience across all segments of the sector.

We have significant roll-out and new concept fit out and refurbishment experience with multiple restaurant chains including Ivy Group, Wagamama and the Casual Dining Group, through partnerships established over several years.

We are proud to have delivered several notable one-off restaurants including Matteo’s at the famous Annabel’s private members club, the Caprice Brasserie of Light in Selfridges, Endo at the Rotunda, White City, and 20 Stories, Manchester.

Hotels

Our hotel experience extends over several years and encompasses new build, extension, and refurbishment.

Recently we have been delivering in excess of 700 new rooms per annum, providing Programme Management, Project Management, Cost Management and Directs & FF&E Procurement and Management.

From leisure arenas and swimming pools, to bowling alleys, bingo halls and nightclubs, Monaghans have significant and diverse experience in this ever evolving sector.

Transport Hubs

Convenience and quality are basic expectations for our mobile population.  We are experts in this sub-sector having delivered for several key hospitality and retail brands within airports, train stations, service stations and stand alone locations.  We are able to navigate through the key access, security and governance arrangements to deliver seamlessly.
