Monaghans have a longstanding 19-year relationship with TJX, dating back to 2005. Cost Management services have driven the implementation of a brand specific schedule of rates providing improved value & cost certainty. This has also assisted the mitigation of inflationary pressures throughout the duration of agreements & provided improved value based on volume negotiation.

Whilst the Cost Management offering has been the primary service provided to TJX, throughout the relationship Project Management & Building Surveying services have also been provided. Providing this dual role has realised further efficiencies & resulted in Monaghans having an influential hand in developing the TJX delivery process – which has seen the opening of over 250 new stores.

Highlights

  • Cost Planning & pre/post contract QS service provided on 252 new stores & 231 refurbishments within the UK & Ireland. Value totalling £439million.

  • Lead cost management and high-level reporting role delivered, overseeing expansion throughout mainland Europe alongside in-country delivery partners, on a total of 278 projects. Value totalling €389million.

  • Implementation of brand specific schedule of rates providing improved value, cost certainty and the mitigation of inflationary pressures throughout the duration of agreements.
