Appointed through recommendation, Monaghans provided cost management services for a workplace project combining two adjacent properties into one unit within the heart of Soho requiring substantial alterations to the existing building including new lifts, staircases, roof and roof terrace across 4 floors.

- Reviewed and analysed tender pack and returns issued by others and advised any risk/issues identified so they could be managed or mitigated prior to start on site
- Advised, agreed and managed execution of main contract (which was challenging as contract terms had not been agreed prior) without impacting overall programme
- Challenging position as first involvement was post tender, so bound by rates previously agreed as part of contract sum
- Substantial savings achieved nonetheless through Value Engineering and scrutinous challenging of variations
