Monaghans were appointed as NEC3 Contract Supervisor for the initial phases of the refurbishment of the grade II listed building at the former Alf Cooke Printworks designed by Thomas Ambler and constructed in 1881. Print Hall 1B won the 2016 RICS Building Conservation Award for Yorkshire & Humber, as well as the Committed to Heritage and Refurbishment Award at the Committed to Construction in Humber and West Yorkshire Awards 2016.

This conversion and refurbishment project now provides learning facilities for a variety of specialist vocational subjects forming Leeds City College Printworks campus.
