Trebbi Charity of the Year for 2022

Monaghans and Trebbi are so pleased to announce Alzheimer’s Society as our Charity of the Year for 2022 – our first ever charity of the year! Alzheimer’s Society is a charity close to the hearts of many of us across Trebbi, and so is a fitting charity to support in the coming year.

In previous years, we have supported various charities, both local and national, however our efforts have never been combined to ensure we make our impact really count. For 2022, we’ve decided to combine all the money we raise throughout the year into one pot. By focussing our efforts across Trebbi, we hope to make a much bigger difference to our charity of choice.

Having a charity of the year also means we will plan various fundraising challenges, events, and days throughout the year, giving everyone something to look forward to and create a common goal to work towards.

Why Alzheimer’s Society?

There are currently around 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and this number is projected to rise to 1.6 million by 2040.

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. They campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia. With Dementia being the UK’s biggest killer and someone developing it every three minutes, most, if not all of us, will be affected in some way.
